Sivade: Shephard’s hut

This is one of those special spots you hope to stumble upon. Set in a magical location, surrounded by nature, this charming gypsy wagon with its own bathroom and kitchen cabin sits on our farmhouse estate. Think of it as luxury camping, unique glamping, or simply pure enjoyment! Just a short walk from the lively village of Monpazier, yet surrounded by peace, nature, and silence. Here, you’ll truly feel at home.

Inside, you’ll find a table, a washbasin, and a comfortable bed. Outside, there’s a terrace, a hammock, relaxing chairs, a firepit, and a dining table. The garden stretches as far as the eye can see – it’s open and unfenced. And as the cherry on top, there’s a beautiful oak outbuilding featuring a compost toilet, a warm shower, and an outdoor covered kitchen. The compost toilet takes a little getting used to, but it’s specifically designed for off-grid or tiny homes. All in all, it’s a unique and unforgettable experience.

Facilities

No, there’s no Wi-Fi, but you can count on a good 4G connection. There’s also no television, dishwasher, or oven. Next to the gypsy wagon, we’ve built a small oak cabin that includes a warm shower, a compost toilet, and a covered outdoor kitchen.For parking, there’s a barn available to keep your car pleasantly cool during hot summer outings.

Garden

The garden is not enclosed – the space is so open and free that your dog can roam around happily. Of course, the 25 hectares surrounding the farmhouse are fully accessible to our guests. We’ve mown several walking paths, perfect for exploring and discovering the area.

What’s more, one of our sheep meadows lies right beside the wagon, so there’s always something to see. From the gypsy wagon, you also have stunning views across the valley towards the village of Monpazier, which is just a 15-minute walk away.

Payment

We require a 50% deposit to confirm your booking. The remaining balance can be paid via bank transfer 10 days before arrival or in cash on the day of arrival. Payment details will be sent to you via email.

Cancellation

Of course, we find it unfortunate, but we understand that plans can change. Cancellations up to 4 weeks before arrival are free of charge, and you will receive a full refund. If you cancel after this period, we will retain the deposit. Cancellations within 1 week of arrival are no longer possible; in that case, you are required to pay the full amount minus the cleaning fee and tourist tax.
