Sivade: Maison d’artiste

The studio cottage with its spacious covered terrace is ideal for 2 people and does not have a separate bedroom. The cottage is equipped with a kitchen and a generous bathroom featuring a shower and toilet. There is a 1.60-metre-wide double bed and a cosy seating area.

Terrace
In our opinion, this is the loveliest spot at Sivade! The terrace is covered and features an outdoor kitchen, a dining table, and a seating area. Facing south, the terrace enjoys plenty of sunshine but is sufficiently shaded by the surrounding trees.

Wi-Fi: Powered by Starlink, the connection works excellently both on the terrace and inside the cottage. Please note, there is no television.

The kitchen is well equipped with a Nespresso machine, a kettle, and various pots and pans. Please bear in mind there is no dishwasher or oven, and the fridge is located on the covered terrace.

You can park your car inside the barn, ensuring it stays cool during summer outings. Additionally, a standard power socket is available for charging your bike or electric car (for an additional fee).

The art in the studio has been created by us, adding a personal touch to the decor. We hope our creations contribute to an inspiring and cosy atmosphere during your stay. The studio cottage is also perfect for writers or artists looking for a beautiful place to create.

Garden
For added privacy, the cottage features a fenced private garden of approximately 100m². Here, you’ll find a hammock, comfortable lounge chairs, and a barbecue. And of course, the jacuzzi is not to be missed (June–September). From the garden, you have stunning views of the forest and the pond. Adding to the charm, the garden borders the chicken meadow.

Naturally, the 25 hectares surrounding the farmhouse are freely accessible to our guests. We have created several walking paths, allowing you to explore and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Jacuzzi
Cool off on a summer afternoon or warm up under the starry sky. In the garden of the gîte, you’ll find a spa/jacuzzi available during the summer months. The pump is equipped with a saltwater system, ensuring clean and clear water at all times. The jacuzzi features bubbles, massage jets, and a simple display for easy operation. We provide clean water and fresh filters before your arrival! The cost for using the jacuzzi is €75 per week.

Surroundings
Monpazier is a picturesque medieval bastide village. From the moment you enter this charming town, it’s hard not to fall in love. The narrow cobbled streets, central square, and relaxed atmosphere combine to create an idyllic setting that immediately captivates you.

The Dordogne region, with its rolling hills and lush green landscapes, adds to the romantic ambiance. As you travel through the area, you’ll discover charming villages, sprawling vineyards, and scenic rivers. The Dordogne is renowned for its culinary delights, so don’t miss out on local specialties such as truffles and exquisite wines.

In the vicinity of Monpazier, you’ll also find magnificent castles like the imposing Château de Biron, which reflects the region’s rich history. The tranquil rivers, such as the Dordogne and Vézère, are perfect for relaxing canoe trips or picturesque picnics along the banks.

Whether you’re exploring local markets, enjoying a stroll through the vineyards, or simply unwinding on one of the many terraces, the romance of the Dordogne and the charm of Monpazier will create an unforgettable experience, leaving you enchanted with this little corner of paradise here in France.

Payment

We require a 50% deposit to confirm your booking. The remaining balance can be paid via bank transfer 10 days before arrival or in cash on the day of arrival. Payment details will be sent to you via email.

Cancellation

Of course, we find it unfortunate, but we understand that plans can change. Cancellations up to 4 weeks before arrival are free of charge, and you will receive a full refund. If you cancel after this period, we will retain the deposit. Cancellations within 1 week of arrival are no longer possible; in that case, you are required to pay the full amount minus the cleaning fee and tourist tax.
